Taylor trophies honor curling bonspiel winners at Rivers
The Taylor and Son Ltd trophies were presented to the winners of the ladies and men bonspiels at the Rivers curling club. The ladies trophy dates to 1951 and the men’s to 1954, with an earlier display piece. The Taylor transfer and hardware business began in 1930, passed through generations to JoAnn Brandon, and local historians note the Taylor family has long sponsored the event.
