Manitoba Global Citizens spotlight during Development Week
Manitoba marks Development Week IDW 2012 with nine Global Citizens highlighted by MCIC. Corina Lepp from Rivers joins eight Winnipeg residents in a video campaign funded by CIC to showcase women's and youth empowerment through CARES and Tanzania projects. The programs improve food security and income by training women and rural youths in micro enterprise and agro forestry, cutting fuelwood collection time and boosting household meals. The effort underscores MCIC’s coalition of 40 organizations promoting Manitoba engagement in international development.
