Curling Club backs Rivers community centre plan
The Jesove Wes Rivers Curling Club reports strong April 18 attendance of 25 and a $22,000 donation to the town in fall and spring, plus $40,000 paid to the centre. Bar profits total $8,500, bingo payouts $4,000, and Carl Manitoba grants of $9,000 support an elevator lift. Volunteers cut sound baffles costing far less than a professional build. The club plans for a new development grant and aids centennial events.
