Seniors Speak Vetar and Club Meeting Notes April 16
Rivers 50 Club held a meeting April 16 at Rivers Civic Centre with 36 members. A moment of silence honored Helen Lobb followed by O Canada. vice-president Rosamond presided in Nola McBurney’s absence on a trip to Croatia. An invitation was read for seniors to Austin Thresherman's Reunion June 2. Sunshine reported one get well card sent. In games, Ramsay noted several members went to Newdale for cribbage and had poor cards but a good day. Darts ends April, Rosamond donated trophies. prizes awarded for top scores season. Pool and coffee continue. Josie Paddock and CasSandra Pryzner to present their verbal financial assistance tool next meeting. Rosamond regrets Lena Donald’s move to Brandon. Birthday and anniversary greetings shared for several members.
