Rivers Theatre in Rivers Demolished After Decades of Idle Use
The Rivers Theatre and Cultural Centre, opened in 1947 as Rex Theatre, faced repeated closures and decay before town council approved Gill Farms Ltd. to demolish it for 18500 dollars. Demolition completed after April 27 with site cleanup ongoing as of April 29.
