Manitoba outlines plan to expand orthopedic surgery at Concordia Hospital
The Manitoba government announced steps from the Diagnostic and Surgical Recovery Task Force to boost hip and knee procedures at Concordia Hospital, including a fifth operating room, four inpatient beds, and more anesthesia staff, aiming for up to 1000 additional surgeries annually by year end. The province also funds spine clinic improvements, mobile CT and MRI units, and Misericordia cataract program expansion to cut wait times and restore services post pandemic.
