Narrow escape as car hits fire plug and porch
Mrs. Jean Spurlin 13547 Forest rushed to Ingalls Memorial after her station wagon struck a fire plug and crashed into the Troquatt Zumm residence at 241 E 135th place. She suffered severe head and facial lacerations and multiple bruises. Police said she crouched behind the wheel just before the impact that shattered the porch and sent concrete blocks through the basement.
