Dolton Village Board Discusses Ditch, Sidewalks and Leaks
Dolton Village Board met in regular session last Monday evening with Timlee Dichelman absent. Trustees discussed repairing the Irving avenue stretch south of Panhandle tracks by agreement with Mr. Engel. A 14 year neglected ditch on 138th street east of the Western Indiana tracks was to be cleaned by Dalton and Vandenberg for 60 cents per rod, about 175 rods. The grade for Forest avenue sidewalks was not set and cement work was deferred to the sidewalk committee. Several arc globes were broken by sling shot use and the marshal will enforce the ordinance. A leak near Fred Pohlers on the Milhahn property forced a required connection within 30 days, and a leak at the valve works will be investigated by the water committee.
