Paving Dedication For 95th Street With Officials Present
Richard W. Wolfe and William Busse led a dedication ceremony for the paving of 95th street the first city highway funded by gas tax. About 400 attendees watched as drainage work halted progress while a forty foot concrete pave ment from Cottage Grove to Yates avenue is prepared. The project cost 77488.23 dollars with State Construction Company to handle the paving and future widening to fifty six feet awaiting fall completion. A luncheon followed at the Calumet Commercial club with many civic leaders and officials in attendance.

After five years of committee work by the Dal ton Riverdale Chamber of Commerce and local property owners led by Richard Hess, the Chicago Board of Education moved to condemn land for a new Riverdale school.
