Ivanhoe Woman's Club Plans Silver Anniversary
The Ivanhoe Woman's Club of Riverdale Illinois marks its silver anniversary with a September 27 gathering at Ivanhoe Park Fieldhouse from 3 to 5 PM. Charter members formed the club on September 28 1928 to develop minds and serve the community. The current membership is 115 as the town grew from under 100 to more than 4500. The club joined the State Federation in 1928 and the General Federation in 1930. Cont'd on Page 7.

Chicago Man Injured In Auto Accident On Halsted Street
Steve G. Tisza, 87, of 9356 Kenwood, Chicago, suffered head and leg lacerations when his car rear ended a truck driven by E. J. Butler, 61, of 6442 South Wood. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island by a Dalton squad car. Riverdale police controlled traffic and removed the wrecked vehicle.

Campbell to Return From Korea Service
Sergeant First Class Richard L. Campbell son of Mr and Mrs Lyle B Campbell of Dalton Illinois is returning to the United States after serving with the Twenty Fifth Infantry Division in Korea. Campbell joined the Army in January 1952 and trained with Headquarters Company 27th Regiment 3rd Battalion before deployment. The 25th Infantry Division saw early conflict actions and remains in training to sustain fighting strength.

The South Suburban Community Concert Association plans a membership drive with a dinner at Harvey Methodist Church starting 6 p.m. Sunday September 20. Fifth Annual National Kids Day Observance
The fifth annual National Kids Day on September 26 is sponsored nationally by Kiwanis International and the National Kids Day Foundation with local sponsorship by Kiwanis Club of Riverdale Dolton. Funds stay in the local community. Teener baseball and girls volleyball groups will sell peanuts under coaches. Explorer Post Scout Troop 229 canvasses Riverdale and Dalton.
