Herzog Opens New Store in Dolton with Expansion
Harry Herzog a long-time Dolton businessman opens Herzog's Store For Men at 14141 Chicago Rd in a building more than twice the size of the old location. The store offers budget friendly traditional menswear with Ted Hasler overseeing The Trend Shop. Herzog, born in Czechoslovakia, arrived in 1912 and has lived in Dolton since 1940. He serves on local boards and clubs including the Dolton Planning Commission and the Dolton Chamber of Commerce.

Two Residents Given Oxygen In Past Week
In the past week two inhalator calls occurred. Riverdale police gave oxygen for one hour to Mrs Barbara Cochrane at 14315 Stewart. Alf Cochrane was taken by ambulance to St Francis Hospital in Blue Island on a doctor's suggestion. In Dalton, Eu gene Rogers at 14915 Giant St was assisted with breathing difficulty but no oxygen was given.

Tragic shooting case at Pipe O Peace golf course sparks inquiry
A scuffle led to Dempsey being shot in the left side below the 11th cage after intervening youths clashed with Cage a special officer at the Pipe O Peace course. Cage denied gun authorization.
