School Row Over Shared Sewer Water for Dual Village School
The Dalton and Riverdale village boards clash over sewer and water rights for the new jointly owned school across 146th Street. Riverdale seeks power to control connections while Dalton resists delegating police powers. The stalemate leaves the school unfinished and children without facilities, with taxpayers facing a $50,000 investment tied up. The piece urges compromise for the children’s sake and notes past voting in Riverdale favoring the current site.
