A new bulletin lists 85 college level courses for correspondence students from accountancy to mechanics with four added this year. Instructors are campus faculty. Students may enroll anytime and pace work. up to two years can count toward a degree with residency in either the first three years or last year. Ages 18 to 70 include executives, clerks, carpenters, and teachers among the many pursuing credit for degree or cultural interest.

Donald Benning Ortel of Blue Island and a companion were found dead Saturday morning August 17 in South Omaha Nebraska after being struck by a train while hitch hiking to the west coast. Ortel 20 was brought back to Blue Island and interred August 20 at Mount Hope cemetery after services at Krueger funeral home.
