Robert Frank Vandenberg born in Chicago on November 28 1884 lived in Dolton since 1888. He married Margaret McKnight July 8 1909 and lived at 14504 Pohlers Court. He worked 20 years at American Stove Company rising to chief engineer at Harvey plant. He died at Ingalls Hospital at age 58 after a workday illness. Survived by wife three children two sisters one brother three granddaughters and a grandson. Burial at Berger Cemetery after services at Jacobsma funeral home.
Mrs. Anna Marie Ungelug of 13905 Park Ave Dalton died suddenly Sunday afternoon at Roseland Community Hospital after a heart attack. Born in Bangert Russia on December 12 1888 she married Conrad Ungelug on February 6 1905 and together they had seven children.
The obituary notes the death of Mrs. Hellmuth, survived by her husband, three sons Alex Emil Walter, two daughters Lydia and Hilda, sister Mrs August Markus Jr, aged mother Mrs Louise Hellmuth, and two grandchildren. She came to America in 1916. Funeral services were held Wednesday at St Pauls Lutheran church Dolton with Rev Walter J Kemnitz officiating. Bachmann funeral home in charge. Interment Oakland cemetery Dolton.
Red Cross Blood Bank Mobile Unit will visit Whittier school in Harvey from September 14 for five days. A minimum of 200 registrants per day is needed to support blood plasma for wounded in battles.
