James B. Forgan Dies at 72 Noted Chicago Banker
James Berwick Forgan, prominent Chicago financier and chairman of First National and First Trust and Savings Bank, died in Presbyterian hospital from heart weakness due to stomach ulcerations. He was born in St. Andrews Scotland on April 11 1852 and died after a last week hemorrhage at his desk. He last spoke to family and pastor Rev John Timoth Stone before death and sang hymns as he approached his end.
