Supreme court knocks out Cook County 2 million road bonds
Local boosters faced disappointment as the Illinois Supreme Court voided Cook County’s 2 million bond issue for hard roads. The case, pursued by Attorney Robert W Dunn for the Associated Roads Organizations, failed as bonds lacked a majority of voters in the election. The decision leaves road plans delayed though a rehearing request may raise consideration of a validating act.
