Auto Crash Fatalities Near Blue Island at Vermont Street Crossing
Emma Schroeder and Garrit Won daal, residents living east of Blue Island, were killed Thursday night at 10:30 when their car was struck by a fast Rock Island train at the Vermont street crossing. The car was demolished and the other three occupants were seriously injured.
