Illinois to Dedicate Airports in Eleven Cities

Governor Henry Horner will dedicate newly constructed and improved sports facilities in eleven Illinois cities through a Sunday free program organized by the Illinois Aeronautics Commission chaired by L. P. Bonfoey. Ceremonies are set for October 21 in Marion Harrisburg Danville Bloomington and Peoria and on October 28 in Springfield Joliet Dixon Kewanee Glenville and Quincy.

Death Toll Automobile Takes of Wild Life in Illinois Prairie

The Illinois State Natural History Survey reports 1 006 animals dead on 9 100 highway miles over three years between Danville and Oakwood. Most losses are undesired animals such as sparrows gophers and chickens comprising 68 4 percent. Most deaths occur April to October with rabbits as the only game animal killed in notable numbers.
