Letter from H. C. Thompson of Co. F 342nd Inf describes new National Army units taking over guard posts at Camp Grant Illinois. He notes recruits learning rank and daily chores, cooking and laundry done by soldiers, and mentions his plan to enter a photograph contest with The Pointer.
