Dolton Board Seeks Harvey Underpass Plan
At the Dolton Board of Trustees meeting a resolution was adopted and sent to the Illinois Department of Highways to build an underpass under Route 83 in Harvey. The proposed underpass would allow Thornton Township high school and junior college students to reach the gym and athletic field safely, reducing exposure to fast traffic on 150th Street between Broadway and Main.

Yale Seal Chairmen Are Re-Appointed
Mrs. Theodore B. Sachs announces the 38th annual Christmas seal sale opened Monday and runs through Christmas. Dolton chairwoman Mrs. Herman Rodenburg and Riverdale chairwoman Mrs. Henry Petraske will again head local efforts with remittances sent to them. The sale funds tuberculin testing X-rays public clinics nursing education and rehabilitation aiding wartime effort. Curtis and Hiverdale schools topped 333 Chicago elementary schools in a five week paper collection campaign. Curtis pupils averaged 184 pounds per pupil and won War Stamps for their efforts.
