Dolton Board Buys Tear Gas Pistol and Paves Way to Remove Unsightly Buildings
The Dolton village board met November 27 with all members present. They approved purchase of a new tear gas pistol for 37.50 with five shells, based on a police chief recommendation, noting its duraluminum construction and 12 gauge shells. The purchase includes a ninety day payment period and is deemed valuable for the police department. Finance Chairman Schnoor presented left-over bills and semi-monthly salaries for approval. Streets and Alleys Chairman Erffmeyer sought permission to post warning signs on street light poles but Public Service Company officials declined, citing repair work interference.
