George L Hetler of 14514 Ta Salle Riverdale died suddenly Saturday November 18 while on a hunting trip in Pontiac Illinois He was born October 11 1918 in Berwick Pennsylvania He worked as a supervisor for Worth American Car Corp in Chicago Ridge He led the Dalto Police team in the Babe Ruth League and was active in the Lattle League management He is survived by his wife Frances E two sons William E and George T and his parents Mr and Mrs Edward Heller Funeral services were held November 22 at Community Mortuary Riverdale and burial followed at Beverly Cemetery

Vehicle stickers for Dalton 1962 are available at the village clerk's office 14014 Park Ave. Hours are Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday 9 to 8:50 p.m. Prices are passenger cars five dollars and ruchs seven dollars and up with a two dollar increase on March 1.
Eugene Flesner, president elect of the Riverdale Chamber of Commerce and Jewel Food Store manager, was injured protecting a crate of turkeys from two Chicago men. Police arrested Joseph Sedlert and Isom Woodard, charged with petty larceny, and Scoleri faced assault charges. They await Riverdale court on December 6.
Two express coaches of train No. 94 on the C and E railroad derailed on the viaduct above Route 6 in South Holland at 4 10 am. One coach empty, the other loaded with express cargo. The 15 car train from Jacksonville to Chicago left the tracks a mile south of the town, tearing up tracks and ties. No injuries reported as rear passenger cars remained safe and service resumed by 9 am.
The 350 student District No. 148 ensembles perform at Thornridge High School in a Sunday 3 p.m. Music Festival. New uniforms cap years of planning as the district bands under Amenco Meneghini John Pearce Lyle Hopkins and Richard Ance join the Thornridge and Thornton High School groups. Tickets sold by band members or at the door.
Dolton village board approves a flag design contest led by Sid Steele of Dolton Department Store to create an official village flag. Rules to be announced next week. The winner will receive a $24 series E government bond.
Dolton Chamber of Commerce launches Christmas Cheer coupons usable with every Dolton purchase through Christmas. Patrons sign coupons and drop them in a barrel at 142nd and Chicago Streets for a Dec. 24 drawing. Santa arrives Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. at the village hall with a parade and a Santa court in the 142nd Street parking lot. Local merchants fund prizes and decorations.
