Funeral services for Henry N Burgwald were held Friday in South Chicago. He had lived with his daughter Mrs Meredith Mason of Riverdale for several years and died November 9 at South Chicago Hospital. Burial followed services.
Born in Holstein Germany January 27 1864 he came to America at 19. He lived in Ohio before moving to South Chicago where he resided for many years. He married Minnie Warning December 15 1897 who died December 28 1933. Surviving are his wife Mrs Mason a daughter Mrs Hertha O Keefe and a son Harry Burgwald all of South Chicago.
Mrs. Mattie Leonard mother of the late Mrs. Jessie Farrell of Riverdale died Saturday morning November 13 at age 84. She was born in Elkhart Indiana on April.
A local obituary notes the death of a resident who left a grandson Meredith L Farrell two grandchildren Alan and Patricia Farrell both of Riverdale and a sister Mrs G L Hacker of South Bend Ind She had lived with Mrs Farrell for years and died September 24 Burial took place at Gracelawn cemetery Elkhart Ind on Monday November 15
