Riverdale police report that art 14217 Wentworth River dale backed into a parked car at 145th and Atlantic on Sunday morning May 27. The other vehicle is owned by Julius A Wadolny of 101 E. 146th St Riverdale.
Four years of hard work and social activity end as Thornton and Thornridge seniors attend last classes. Thornridge graduates June 6 while Thornton holds commencement June 7. Summer school registrations at Thornton run June 11–12 for $1250 tuition per semester with courses across arts business English science and more.
At a May 24 board meeting the First Trust and Savings Bank of Riverdale elected Frank Stewart as president succeeding John Harms who becomes vice chairman. Directors include Albert Kickert Tarvey Louis H. Rosen Albert H. Harms H. F. Zornow John C. Brucer Raymond J. Spaeth Arthur A. Baer and Arthur Baer. The bank joined Beverly Family of Banks to expand service in Chicago south suburbs.
