South Holland Board Agrees to Disannex Land to Harvey
The South Holland Village Board passed two resolutions prepared by Attorney William Jacobs. They authorize disannexation of a section one block north of Route 6 and two blocks east of Halsteden Union and Emerald plus 10 Erickson subdivision lots, to enable Harvey sewer and water access. Disannexation possible if 50 percent of electors and owners sign a petition. First reading of fence ordinance modification and an appropriation ordinance for 1962 63 presented, referred to.

10 Year Old Boy Hurt In Fall From Bike
South Holland police received a delayed accident report. A 10 year old boy, James Fuehrmeyer, was injured when a bicycle turned left in front of a station wagon on Cottage Grove at 163rd Street. He was treated for minor bruises at Walvoord Clinic.

Seven sealed bids were opened at the South Holland Village Board meeting on May 21 for the storm sewer relief program. Bids covered storm sewer construction sewer repair and ditch cleaning with 84 inch culvert work. Awards will go to the lowest bid meeting specs with results announced June 11.
