Chicago area to switch from steam to electric trains
Illinois Central suburban rail riders will gain a faster, more frequent service beginning July under President C H Markham plan. Roosevelt Road becomes a universal stop with six exclusive suburban tracks between Hyde Park and Kensington, 402 weekday trains, and marked time savings on key runs.
