The Riverdale Village Board met last Thursday to form a committee on scraping and leveling 138th street west of Halsted. Tuttle Building Material Co. will repair the street, with bids to be advertised. The board will extend the water main on Wentworth avenue and aim to place a Tee at 137th place in Indiana avenue’s new line. A Bowen school festival plan, proposed by Mr McKinney, was favorably acted on.

Obituary: Cornelius DeVries 1884 1920 Riverdale
Cornelius DeVries son of Mr and Mrs CG DeVries of Riverdale died Saturday March 20 1920 from tuberculosis. He had neglected a heavy cold four years earlier and lungs failed. He was treated at Woodmen Sanitarium Colorado for nine months then returned home to live nearly three years. Born Riverdale April 26 1884 he leaves parents five sisters and two brothers. Funeral Wednesday by Rev ink and Calumet Camp MWA. Interment Oakland cemetery.
