Riverdale Improves East Ivanhoe Drainage Project
Riverdale officials say a vital flood relief upgrade in East Ivanhoe is underway. The plan enlarges an 8 inch sewer to 12 inches at the 24 inch main near the Sanitary District interceptor, doubling outflow and reducing back pressure to curb flood danger. The work, supervised by the Sanitary District, costs are borne by the district, not Riverdale taxpayers, and follows prior efforts to ease drainage through sewer cleaning and equipment. Citizens may request further information from Riverdale authorities.

Burglary Suspects Identified After Chicago Show-Up
Police say Al and Rose Lorenzi failed to identify four bandits captured after an attempted break-in. The men allegedly held up a Riverdale tavern at 601 West 138th Street on Friday March 16 about 1:15 am, stealing about $1,200 in cash.
