Elbert H. Gary announces a new $25 million tube plant to be built at Gary Indiana as part of a broader expansion. The facility will include ore docks yards furnaces mills and related departments and is expected to create about 10 000 jobs, boosting Gary’s employed workforce to roughly 40 000.
