South Holland News Highlights Local Weddings and Village Affairs
The South Holland community records a series of events including the marriage of Louis Vinke and Florence J Russell at her Aurora Iowa home with a May 27 ceremony, and a later wedding of Mary Gouwens to Rev. N. S. Lichterman at the Gouwens home in South Holland. Village finances, road work, and a water fight between fire companies frame a busy civic schedule. Local travel notes mention DeYoung’s trip to Corsica, S. D., and upcoming church services by Rev. H. Minderman in Grand Rapids.
