At the regular Post meeting on Tuesday June 24 1941 officers for 1942 were named with Earl Slaughter as Commander Jim Johnson senior vice commander Harry Meginnis junior vice commander and other posts filled by Julius Nelson John Belz John Matthiesen Herschel Bock Carl Powley Frank Sagneri and John Thul A carnival runs July 7–13 and a carnival committee meeting is set for June 30 Also the third annual vicwic is planned for July 20 Comrade Paul Brunkov is ill at Blue Island hospital The Eighth District meeting is July 26 in Calumet City with a 8 00 pm departure from the club rooms.
