Dolton Public Schools hold graduation ceremonies at Lincoln Avenue School Auditorium on Friday and at Pullman and Bowen campuses. Read lists include graduates from Dolton, Elm Branch, and Pullman branches with diplomas presented by school presidents and local clergy.
John C Claussen of Dolton Illinois died at Wesley Hospital Chicago on Thursday morning June 17 from injuries after a shotgun wound at his Claussen farm near Ormsby. He leaves a widow Bertha Miller and two children Lucile and Lloyd, plus his parents siblings and in laws. Funeral services are set for Sunday at his home and Immanuel church with interment at Oakland Cemetery.
The big auto races scheduled for Saturday June 19 at Maywood Speedway have been postponed to Saturday June 26.
