High Denomination Stamps Urged to Save Costs
Post office officials urge public and employees to use high denomination stamps to match postage totals. A 2 cent stamp should replace two 1 cent stamps, and a 10 cent stamp should replace five 2 cent stamps on letters and parcels. This cooperation aims to cut production, transport, and canceling costs while reducing handling for businesses mailing large volumes. Postmasters should publicize the suggestion where feasible.
