Highway Police Report From Homewood District
Sheriffs highway police assisted in capturing Herman David linked to the Foster murder in St John Indiana. He was caught in Dalton on May 47 and turned over to the Government Alcoholic division. An autopsy followed a Penn RR crossing crash in Calumet City with five people dead. Multiple vehicle incidents and a series of Civil Service examinations are noted.

Riverdale Park District presents the treasurer’s annual report for the year ending April 30, 1936. Walter H. Sellin testifies to funds on hand at year start, receipts from county collectors and local offices, and disbursements to numerous contractors and services. totals show receipts 22,954.87 and disbursements 18,486.94 with an April 30 balance of 4,467.93. The report is sworn before Notary Frank Stewart on May 25, 1936, and audited by J. L. Strong, RP A, on May 28, 1936.
