Luella Engel, a 24 year old teacher, died Sunday after a two week illness. She taught in Chicago Heights and East Chicago, and led Ridge social and church activities. Her funeral was held June 1 at Ridge United Church, with six pallbearers and four ministers officiating. Interment followed at Oakland Cemetery. She is survived by her mother, six sisters, and one brother.
