OUR BOYS EN THE ARMED FORCES
Local soldiers and families share furloughs and letters home. Parker Gibson at Tinker Field Oklahoma City visits Dalton with his brother Ray on leave from Corsica. Ray’s infant daughter born May 4 is seen by family for the first time since 1942. Letters from the front keep our readers connected as service members across the Pacific and Europe send greetings and updates. Transfers include Panozzo to Garden City and Born to Truax Field among others as service personnel move to new camps.
