St Paul Lutheran Church at 138th and Leyden Ave announces Divine Services in German at 9:30 and English at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday with Sunday school at 9:30. Pastor Kemnitz returns from vacation. August 5 program on WAAF at 3:30 p.m. covers Jesus ascends to glory. The church’s accredited school term begins September 7 at 9 a.m. with faculty E O Haase, A C Bernahl, Wm Bloom, and Irma Bertram.
Rev. Donald R. Crocker leads a Walther League church school at the Roosevelt School Building in Ivanhoe as the Community Commission of the Chicago Federation of Churches authorizes a joint project. The effort unites denominations under a Methodist led development with assurances no other major churches start work in Ivanhoe.
