Paez to Speak at First Reformed Church South Holland
The Rev Juan Paez a former San Quentin inmate now evangelist will speak August 5 at eight thirty P M at the First Reformed Church. His talk Christ Cure for Crime will be in Spanish and English with prison life photos and special music. He aims to attract Mexican attendees and will reward the top feeder of Mexican attendees Spanish gospels will be distributed. A Sunday school class for Mexicans meets Sundays at 3 45 P M.

Village Board Meeting in South Holland Discusses Borough Finances
The South Holland village board met at the village hall with all members present. Minutes were approved, reports from treasurer and Volunteer Fire Department filed, and auditor Estey Gouwens presented the prior fiscal year's report. Road plans for Riverside entrance were explained, and residents may trim trees over sidewalks to seven feet. A catch basin on 157th Street was out of order and to be fixed by Louis Ditmar. Stickers sold totaled 599 passenger and 120 truck. a motion set 750 passenger and 150 truck stickers at 8 1 2 cents each from American Decalco Mania. Fire hose received and to be tested soon. Water leaks in mains noted and to be repaired.

A permit for adding a porch to the residence of J Singer was granted. The Tax Levy Ordinance was read and referred to the Ordinance Committee. Current bills totaling 1090.88 were approved by the Finance Committee and ordered paid. Three water samples met safe drinking water standards.
