Divers Help Dolton Rescue Tragic Drowning Victim
Richard Pollack, 16, drowned while swimming with 10 teens at a water-filled excavation near Calumet Expressway and Greenwood in Dolton. Dolton and Riverdale volunteers searched for almost two hours, aided by two boats and skin divers. Pollack’s body was recovered by Clarence Wisowaty using grappling hooks.
