Postpone Induction of Boys in Last Half of School Year
Illinois Selective Service boards were instructed to postpone induction for 18 or 19 year old high school students in the last half of their academic year if they request in writing. The policy excludes vacationers and limits postponement to those in summer sessions who have begun the last half of their year. The change reflects a July 9 1943 amendment to the Selective Training and Service Act.
