Illinois Bell plans stock sale to subscribers nationwide

The plan, announced in the Bell Telephone News, aims to redistribute shares via exchanges and commercial representatives while employees assist in securing new shareholders. The Bell System finances about 215 million dollars annually for additions and replacements to provide service, a figure compared to prewar government and international expenditures.
