Muscular Dystrophy Awards Dinner Honors Local Volunteers
At Riverdale Riverdale Municipal Building on June 21 6 20 p m the Muscular Dystrophy Associations of America held its Chairman Awards Dinner for the South and West Community Chairmen. Marian P Staniec president Greater Chicago Chapter presented awards to chairmen. J Morrison Brady M D spoke on dystrophy causes and cures. Florence Plug suburban director thanked attendees and supporters. Richard Walrath regional director pitched a Children's Carnival idea which many prepared to host locally.

Bridge Club Names Mixed Pair Champs
The Harvey Bridge Club at the American Legion on 138th street announced the winners of the Mixed Pair championship held June 27 and 29. First place went to J. O. Ernst and Phyllis Roth with Joann Lewis and Dr. David E. Ambrose close behind, and Mary Burkeith, Kim Lenzotti, and Marge Piantinga in a tie for second. third went to Mrs. Wm. B. Special meeting of the stockholders of First Trust and Savings Bank of Riverdale on May 24 1962 adopted a resolution to increase the board from seven to nine.
