The Muscular Dystrophy Association held its Chairman Awards Dinner for the South and West Community Chairs at Riverdale Municipal Building. Marjan P Stanice presented awards. J Morricon Brady spoke on muscular dystrophy causes and cures. Florence Plug thanked attendees and contributors. Rechad Wasath announced a Carnival idea inspiring future plans.

Registration for youngsters seven and up is open at the Dalton Averdale South Holland Swim Club. The first 100 slots startTuesday with lessons from 10 to 11 and a fee per season.
