Street Fight Results In Assault Battery Charge Against Two
An early morning street fight on 137th street led Riverdale police to arrest two men. Roger Dablke, 21, of 53 E 137th Riverdale, charged with battery, and Richard Charles Seloman, 24, of 234 E 16th Chicago, charged with assault and battery. Both ap pear before Judge Ralph Young July 16. The other two men, Gary Litherland and Norman Farrell, sustained head and facial injuries requiring 18 stitches and medical care.

Army Pvt. Wayne A. Anderson, 18, son of Mrs. Audrey M. Anderson of Dalton Alabama, finished a 25 week field radio repair course at The Southeastern Signal School in Gordon Georgia in late April. Man In Serious Condition After Car Train Crash
John L. Vanderwert Sr., 75, of 15640 Dobson Ave Dolton, remains in serious condition at St. Margaret's Hospital Hammond Ind from injuries when a freight train struck his eastbound car at Bernhe rd and the Pennsylvania crossing Lansing on June 19. He suffered a skull fracture, broken collar bone and severe bruising. the car doors opened and he was thrown from the vehicle as the 60 car rear ended it traveling southeast about 35 mph. witnesses said signals were working. Engineer Dwight De Lanter of La Porte led the train over 800 feet after impact.
