Dolton Public Schools held the eighth grade graduation at the M. E. church with 25 graduates. Professor Robison directed a program heavy in songs and recitations while diplomas were presented by President George H. Schaefer who urged a new, larger assembly hall be included in future school plans.

Longtime Riverdale Resident John Lotz Dies at 74
John Lotz born September 29 1835 in Kum bach Hessen Nassau Germany immigrated to America in 1866 settling in Riverdale. He outlived his wife 1904 and daughter Katherine Diehl. He died June 26 in Lutheran faith aged 74 years eight months and twenty six days. funeral conducted by Rev H Wind.

Dalton man cut by razor in domestic dispute arrest
Cut With Razor Bert Carman of Dalton was arrested last Sunday night about midnight after he viciously cut James Gilbert on the face and neck with a razor. Carman was placed under $2000 bonds and jailed if not posted. Gilbert was taken to the county hospital with severe wounds. trial set for Wednesday July 6 at 2 PM before Judge Baumgartner.

The Riverdale Volunteer Fire Department No. 1 of Chicago excelled in the Policemen and Firemen’s Tournament at Douglas Park last Saturday.
