Riverdale Dolton water main dispute prompts study
An Illinois Central Railroad plan to connect a 14 inch water main to Riverdale and Dolton mains sparks concerns over water pressure and supply. The issue involves 187th place Indiana avenue and a 60 foot high reservoir planned near 149th street with booster pumps and a daily demand around 1,000,000 gallons. A joint engineer study will be commissioned by both villages to evaluate the project and share costs.
