Car-Truck Collision on Wentworth Street in Riverdale
A car driven by William R. Tryball 17 of 15831 Turlington Street collided with a northbound truck on Wentworth near 11st in Riverdale on a Saturday afternoon. Tryball attempted a left turn from 14st and was hit after misjudging the turn. street conditions were slick per Riverdale Police. The truck driver was James L. Knowles of 1545 Ingleside Dalton.

Four year old Julie Kruse hurt playing in Dolton
Julie Ann Kruse, four, of 15329 Cottage Grove Dolton, sustained a nose injury while playing. Dolton Police said she was taken to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey where stitches were required to close the wound.

Court Rejects Plea to Resume Burning at Calumet Dump
