Blue Island Show Premium List Promises Strong Poultry Exhibition
The North Eastern Illinois Fanciers Association prepares the seventh annual Blue Island Show with a 64 page premium list. Cash premiums rise about 25 percent, plus numerous silver cups and prizes. The event, held January 14 to 20 1909 at Saenger hall, will include connections with Western Pet Stock Association and Central Cavy Club of America and features a Single Comb Black Minorca silver trophy.

Peanut Shell Fatal to Infant in Local Incident
The infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Chas Jones of 17926 Lowe Avenue died after swallowing a peanut shell that lodged in her throat. Doctors could not remove the obstruction and an operation was performed at a hospital, but the child died last Thursday with funeral held Saturday. Miones, formerly of Riverdale, known for playing baseball on the local team, is mourned by Riverdale and Delton friends.
