Pretzel Jr. will resign as pastor of Sandridge Methodist Church in Dalton on January 13 after 3 1/2 years to study at the Southern California School of Theology in Claremont pursuing Doctor of Theology in pastoral psychology and counseling. He will be joined by his wife Anna Marie and children Cynthia and Kathryn. Since 1959 he led growth from 200 to 375 members and oversaw a new sanctuary, parking lot, sidewalk, carpet, and PA system. an open house is planned.
