South Holland Miss Alfa Dykema and Peter Peerbolte Jr were united in marriage February 17 at 4:00 p m in Bethany Christian Reformed Church South Holland. Rev J O Bouwsma officiated. Bridesmaids wore aqua-blue and the program featured songs by Mrs Henry Zevenhouse. The reception followed at the bride’s home and the couple departed for the East.

Helping Hand Society Tiny Five and Twenty-Fifth Anniversary
The Helping Hand Society of the Christian Reformed church of South Holland celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary on February 23 with a large audience and a miscellaneous shower program. Fourteen charter members remain, and Rev. Westra spoke alongside a history of the society. Current officers are Mrs. I Brurstra president, Miss Alice Beaum vice president, Winnie Schaap secretary, and Winetta De Young ignurer. A household shower for Ilemrmetta Price was held February 10 with many friends gifting useful items.

Duke Tolsma died at his Denver home on February 17 after a long stomach ailment. Funeral services were held February 19 in Denver. He is survived by wife Sarah and children Leonard Edith and Harry, with sisters Mrs Hoffman of Roseland and Mrs D Schoon of Lansing. The family left South Holland in 1911 and later resided in Denver.
